Can Dwarf Galaxies Sustain Massive Galaxy Star Formation? Characterizing the Magellanic-Galactic Gas Flows.

Research Interests:

  • Investigating the interplay between circumgalactic gas and galaxies to understand how inflows, outflows, and tidal processes impact galaxy evolution.
  • Determining the properties (e.g., density, temperature, metallicity, kinematics, and ionization fraction) of circumgalactic gas to identify their origins and how they interact with their surroundings.
  • Constraining the baryon content around galaxies by measuring the extent, morphology, and distribution of circumgalactic material in all phases.
  • Exploring the heating sources that influence circumgalactic gas structures to understand how baryons accrete through galaxy halos, flow out from galaxies, and probe the environment that influences these structures.
